In 2011 we ruined Christmas forever. We spent the wintery festive season in Germany's Harz mountains, a region rich in history, fairytales, Goeth, and a fantastic steam railway traversing the snow covered mountains. What with the Christmas markets in the snow, gluhwein, and pine trees weighed with snow, it was all an amazing experience, and, for the first time ever, Christmas felt right."

This was a photo I took in Mount Field National Park in Tasmania. I was heading out on a hike with my friend Antonia, the morning fog had not burned off yet and it was rolling down the hill towards us. I loved the way it looked peaking through these beautiful trees.
